Howard & Co. made by Waltham, 19J, 16S, 14K gold original Howard HC, front and rear with five knuckle hinges and Jurgensen-style lips, gold cuvette with signature ring, white enamel DS dial, SW-SS, lever escapement with capped escape wheel, striped pattern nickel damascene, s#1010155. Gross weight of assembled watch 64.8 dwt (100.7 g).
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, excellent-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, bright plates with some scattered fine to micro-fine scratches; dial with hl below seconds-register at 6, mild fine scratch within lower portion of seconds-register, very few scattered ultra-fine surface scratches; excellent hands; case front hinge with poorly executed past repair to hinge that sets front slightly askew and leaving a thin gap to band at left side when closed, front needs a light pry to release from latch when opening, front hinge with one darkened knuckle and with brass end-caps, case shows very little wear, dings to band at 6 with one in particularly being quite prominent and deep, ding to right front shoulder, protruding ding to lower front near shoulder, bezel with some metal loss adjacent its indexing notch; tight bow, crown shows little wear; glass crystal with a tendency to pop out of bezel frequently.
